Di joined the Chueh group in October 2016. He got his Ph.D from MIT and B.S. from Tsinghua University, both in Materials Science and Engineering.
Currently, he works on developing new model system (atomically flat ultra thin film), kinetics model and techniques (electrochemical measurement at far from equilibrium condition, in situ thin film fabrication, operando characterization using beamlines), to better understand the fundamental mechanism of oxygen catalysis.
His old hobbies include jogging and reading (anything). His current hobby is to develop food recipes with great taste and reproducibility, by accurately controlling the temperature, time, composition and texture. He also enjoys reading random stuff on wikipedia.
